Daniel Capusan was born in Romania and raised
in the Seattle area after his parents brought their family
to
the
United States in 1991. During his teenage years, he had to
balance the tension of two cultures
that clashed in his life. On the one
hand, he was asked to retain the Romanian culture while, in
his daily living, he felt pressure to
accept the cultural changes that accompany life in America.
Though those teenage years were not easy, the lessons
learned during those difficult years have greatly impacted
Daniel’s life. God has placed a desire in his heart to pass
down those lessons to the generations that will follow. As a
part of the A.B.L.A.Z.E. youth leadership team, Daniel,
along with his wife Alina, are able to use their
teenage-year experiences to guide and direct
Romanian-American young people that are dealing with similar
issues.
In June 2004, Daniel graduated from the
University of Washington with a Bachelor’s degree in
Sociology. He is presently studying theology through
Ekklesia Bible Institute. In order to better fulfill his
calling, Daniel plans on enrolling in the Northwest
University Youth Ministry program this fall.
